With subscriptions to OneCare for Server and OneCare, small businesses can ensure Windows Server-based applications and PCs have a strong layer of protection against virus infection or malware attack.

OneCare for Server will protect Windows Server-based small business servers, while individual subscriptions to OneCare will ensure small business PCs remain in a "green" state. OneCare for Server is a specially designed version of OneCare developed to be compatible with the newest Windows Server platform.

How to protect your small business network

You have a Windows Server and 25 or less PCs:
Steps in protecting PCs and Windows Server in small business network
  1. Protect Windows Server by installing Windows Live OneCare for Server.
  2. Protect PCs and laptops on the network by installing Windows Live OneCare.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to set up a Windows Live OneCare circle, using your Windows Live ID. Configure centralized backups to server for all PCs covered under the same Windows Live ID.
  4. Subscribe to OneCare for Server and OneCare for up-to-date protection.


You have no server and 25 or less PCs:

  1. Protect PCs and Laptops in the network by installing OneCare on each of the computers.
  2. Follow on-screen instructions to set up a Windows Live OneCare circle, using your Windows Live ID. Configure centralized backups for all PCs covered under the same Windows Live ID.
